The Dance Training & Accreditation Partnership (DTAP)
DTAP is a major, dance industry-led initiative that brings together a consortium of leading national dance development organisations committed to building capacity and removing barriers to participation in dance by people of all ages and abilities.
Current DTAP initiativies include:
- Creating The Dance Register - The UK Register of Dance Teachers, Leaders and Artists
- Building capacity for and further developing the new Diploma in Dance Teaching & Learning (Children & Young People)
- Further developing and disseminating the new National Occupational Standards in Dance Leadership, and using them as the foundation for a continuing professional development (CPD) framework for dance leadership
- Rolling out a full communications plan to share knowledge, raise awareness and ensure that the work DTAP is undertaking is truly national and representative of the whole dance leadership workforce
