DTAP's work is driven by a management group comprising ten national dance development organisations, alongside two observer members. The group meets approximately bi-monthly. Development of DTAP's separate work packages is driven by specialist working groups - one for the Register, one for the Qualification, one for Communications, and one for Finance & Business Development - who report to the management group.
